I think I am beginning to sound like the "older generation". You know, when our parents would say...."In our day we did such and such this other way." Oh no....perhaps this kind of thing is inevitable.
The issue is today is October 28 and this town, in its infinite wisdom, is having Trick or Treat today. I don't what the reason was this time....prior years it was the "we can't have Trick or Treat on Friday....that is high school football night." I think Wednesday was perhaps a conflict with those people who have church functions and maybe that is the issue this year for Sunday.
Anyway, we made sure we had candy and was ready for the 6-8? 7-9? time slot. Adults started bringing their tiny ones around 5:45 and we were flat out of candy by 6:30. Graham got his train lanterns lit and hung up on the porch.
I am going to post pictures here (permission was granted by all) with a comment for some.
Enjoy.
This guy was my favorite!!
I really don't mind teenagers and adults coming out to trick or treat, but I think they should at least be in costume. One of these girls was wearing jammies and carrying a stuffed animal..at least she was in the spirit. The woman to the right said she was dressed as a college student. LOL
Here is the run of the "average costumes" we had visiting us. Only 2 bloody ones this year.
And then we had a group who seemed uninterested.......either because they were babies or way too young....or they just were not happy with this whole concept.....or the bee-lined for the candy and only said trick or treat or thank you when prompted by their parent.
And finally, we have the costumes that took some thought and were great!
Happy Halloween!!!
